I'm Pippa Middlehurst. An innovative and experienced cake maker with an extensive background in hospitality. Following 20 years of planning, creating, and running many fabulous weddings and events, I narrowed my focus to an incredibly significant part of every celebration - the cake.

With the support and guidance of the wonderful Suzi Witt of Pretty Witty Cakes and training from industry professionals and recognised makers, I founded Sugar and Spiced Cakes. Today, as an award-winning cake-maker, I produce truly original designs for all occasions, taking inspiration from the tiniest details and realising dreams using the finest luxury ingredients. 

I’m incredibly dedicated to each stage of the process, from the detailed design I develop at our first sit down consultation, to the moment your luxury cake is delivered to your chosen venue, and the many hours of baking, icing and finessing in between. 

Many couples come to me looking to replicate a cake they have seen elsewhere, I like to go one step further, taking the elements you love about a design and weaving in the touches that make your dream cake even more desirable.
